Holidays and occasions can be made extra special by adding personalized trinkets, greeting cards, and other meaningful items that customers will surely love. Whatever it is, our postage satchels are durable enough to handle all the love. Invest in wonderful unboxing experiences for your customers.

And that’s why size matters. Speaking of sizes, we’ve also added a new feature on the Sendle dashboard: Saved sizes! Now, your parcel size preferences can be saved so you can spend less time configuring and more time shipping.

How to pack your items for shipping in four steps
Our postage satchels are built to be durable, but not invincible. So follow these guidelines to make sure your goods arrive safe and sound.
- Double bag or box your products. Place one container inside another with cushioning material (such as scrunched up newspaper) in between the two. It might feel like overkill, but snug parcels will make your customers happy!
- Just like trousers and turkeys, overstuffing can cause all kinds of awkward breakages. So take care when packing your satchel.
- Firmly seal your satchel shut, and use extra tape if needed.
- Don't substitute secure packaging for 'fragile' or 'handle with care' stickers. Machines can't read these stickers (not yet, anyway…).
Check out Sendle’s comprehensive packaging guidelines for the complete rundown.
Remember!
The Unlimited Compostable Satchel is only available in A4 satchel size. Of course you can use your own packaging, or a box, but our regular 500g pricing will still apply.
Luckily, our Price Guarantee means you’ll save on delivery when compared to Standard Parcel Post rates.

The problem with plastic mailers
More than 1 billion parcels are being delivered per year; and 131.2 billion globally. Now imagine if all of those packages were made up of plastics–plastic packaging, plastic fillers, plastic labels, and plastic wrapping for the product inside. Australians produce 540kg of household waste per person, that’s landfills worth of garbage each year. And in other countries, it gets worse. These landfills are what’s really unlimited here. Plastics stay around for thousands of years, that’s centuries after you’ve mindlessly discarded that bubblewrap.
However, we aren’t finding new places to throw away these plastics. They end up in oceans and huge plots of land around the world. The largest rubbish tip in Australia is a very deep hole, 150 metres deep and expectedly, it will hold around 12.5 million cubic metres of waste in the next 20 years. Although there are recycling efforts, it’s not enough to lower the demand for more landfills with the amount of rubbish being produced globally. By choosing plastic, we are making less and less space for both animals and people. Imagine losing your home to make way for plastics!
This grim truth is the reason why Sendle is committed to raising awareness and providing opportunities for small businesses like yours to make the simple yet impactful switch to compostable mailers. We are proud to be a part of the solution, and so can you! Choose biodegradable or compostable packaging. Choose Sendle: sustainable shipping that’s good for the world.
