House of Holiday started its festive journey in 1998 when Founder and President Larry Gurino set up a small store in a 30,000 sq. ft. space in New York, located behind a street corner where he had been selling Christmas trees as a kid with his dad.

Recently, due to popular demand, Larry and his elves have taken House of Holiday beyond the walls of their New York store, expanding their Christmas offerings online year-round.

Customer service hiccups getting in the way of good vibes

All’s well with House of Holiday until they started experiencing service issues with prior shipping providers. Some customers were complaining about missed pickups, lost items, poor service, and the struggle of finding someone to talk to and get any resolution.

Of course, House of Holiday wanted to find a new carrier right away, and soon enough, they found Ordoro, a shipping and inventory management solution. They were happily using Ordoro’s service when they stumbled across Ordoro’s email announcement of their partnership with Sendle.

Growing a merry empire in the US and beyond

House of Holiday has quickly grown its customer base and is aiming to share the holiday spirit beyond the US. They’re already shipping orders to Canada with Sendle and Ordoro, but would love to ship to other parts of the world, too.
