Sydney Sock Project started life at the Bondi Markets, the Sydney institution where new, trendsetting brands sit alongside well-loved vintage sellers. It's a great place to test a new concept and Andres felt that the Bondi crowd would embrace his unique, high-quality cotton socks that had a higher purpose in life. He was proved right and his designer socks that support people in need were so popular he decided to start an online shop.

But Andres soon learnt that selling online comes with an extra overhead – shipping socks is way more expensive than handing them over to a customer at a market stall. With the prospect of shipping costs eating into their profits from Black Friday and Christmas sales, he had to find a cost-effective way to deliver thousands of pairs of socks over the holiday season.
